How to Apply for ICMR Gorakhpur Technical Cadre Recruitment 2023?
- Only applications along with essential documents in a sealed envelope with superscript Application for the post ofS.No-_ (Name of the Post) received from the speed post will be accepted in the name of Director, ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh- 273013.No another mode will not be considered.
- The person working on ICMR projects continuously shall also be eligible for age relaxation up to 5 years provided he/she has entered into project service within the prescribed age limit for the post.
- No age relaxation against the Unreserved vacancies as per Govt. of India orders No.36011/1/98/Estt(Res) dated 1/7/1998
- Application fees- Rs.500/- in the form of a Demand Draft in favor of the Director, ICMRRMRC Gorakhpur payable at Gorakhpur. SC/ST/PWDs and Women candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee. ICMR employees are not exempted from the payment.
- Application’s last date (i.e 10.03.2023) will be considered as the cut date for age criteria.
- The appointment will be made on the basis of the results of the competitive test and interview
- Pay and other allowances are admissible as per ICMR rules. The benefit of the newly restricted defined Contributory Pension is admissible for new entrants as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB /& PR Division) Notification No / 5/7/2003 – ECB & PR dated 22/12/2003 effective from 1/1/2004.
- Educational Qualification and experience should be from a recognized Board / Organization / Institute of repute. Experience will count after the date of acquiring prescribed essential qualifications.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend the written test and the candidates will have to make their own arrangements.
- Separate applications should be submitted for each post.

About ICMR-RMRC Gorakhpur:
ICMR-RMRC Gorakhpur stands for the “Indian Council of Medical Research-Regional Medical Research Centre, Gorakhpur.” It is a research institution in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, under the Indian Council of Medical Research, which conducts research and studies on infectious and non-infectious diseases prevalent in the region.
ICMR-RMRC Gorakhpur was established to conduct research and develop strategies for the prevention and control of infectious and non-communicable diseases prevalent in the region. The center was established to address the health issues specific to the eastern region of Uttar Pradesh and nearby areas, which has a high burden of diseases like Japanese encephalitis, acute encephalitis syndrome, malaria, lymphatic filariasis, tuberculosis, and other communicable and non-communicable diseases. The research done at the center contributes to the development of effective prevention and control strategies and public health interventions to improve the health of people in the region.
The Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), Gorakhpur, was established in 1986 under the auspices of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to address the health problems specific to the eastern region of Uttar Pradesh and nearby areas. The center was initially focused on the study of Japanese encephalitis, which was prevalent in the region, and to develop control strategies. Over time, the center expanded its research activities to other infectious and non-communicable diseases prevalent in the region.
In 2018, RMRC Gorakhpur was merged with ICMR to become ICMR-RMRC Gorakhpur. Since then, the center has continued to conduct research and develop strategies for the prevention and control of infectious and non-infectious diseases prevalent in the region, and also serves as a nodal center for health research in eastern Uttar Pradesh and neighboring areas.
